The Action Meeting including the 8th MC Meeting was held in the form of an Industry Day on 21 June 2016 in Toulouse, directly preceding COMSOC-2016, the 6th International Workshop on Computational Social Choice. The organisers were Ulle Endriss and Umberto Grandi. The programme consisted of invited keynote presentations by representatives of both companies and the public sector making innovative use of collective decision making technologies: Craig Boutilier (Google, USA), Jacques Traoré (Orange Labs, France), Andreas Nitsche (Interaktive Demokratie & LiquidFeedback, Germany), Elliott Peranson (National Matching Services Inc., Canada), and Matthew Robb (NHS Blood and Transplant, UK).
