COST Action IC1205 on Computational Social Choice


Budapest 2013


The Action's Summer School on Matching Problems, Markets, and Mechanisms was hosted by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest on 24-28 June 2013. It provided an in-depth introduction to the research area of matching, covering the topic from the perspectives of economics, mathematics, and computer science.

The local organiser was Péter Biró. Tutorials were given by Atila Abdulkadiroglu (Duke), Tamás Fleiner (Budapest), and David Manlove (Glasgow). Additional lectures were given by Francis Bloch (Paris), Estelle Cantillon (Brussels), Katarína Cechlárová (Košice), Lars Ehlers (Montreal), Dorothea Kübler (Berlin), Marina Nunez (Barcelona), Joana Pais (Lisbon), Szilvia Pápai (Montreal), Ildikó Schlotter (Budapest),  and Tamás Solymosi (Budapest). The school was attended by 82 trainees, 23 of which contributed to the poster session.
