Dear subscribers of the ESSLLI newsletter:

  This is the final ESSLLI 2008 newsletter that you'll receive
and our last chance to thank everyone for contributing to the
event. In our last newsletter, we asked you to participate in
the online evaluation.  About 140 participants did so and gave
valuable input. We are very happy to have received a grade of
4.3 (out of 5) for the overall success of ESSLLI 2008.

  In order to pass the torch to the organizers of the next ESSLLI
in Bordeaux, we forward below a message of Richard Moot, the local
co-chair of ESSLLI 2009 who invites you all to come to the next
summer school.

Dear ESSLLI 2008 participants:

We hope you passed a good time in Hamburg last summer! This summer,
from the 20th to the 31st of July, ESSLLI 2009 will take place in
Bordeaux, France --wine capital of the world-- and with the lecture
rooms in the historical center of Bordeaux, recognized as a UNESCO
world heritage site.

Like last year's ESSLLI, our program includes many prominent
lecturers teaching a total of 48 courses and workshops in logic,
language, information and their interfaces. You can see the full

The early registration rates are 225 euros for masters and PhD
students and 350 euros for other participants.
