More specifically CAOS addresses the difficult question of how key cognitive phenomena and concepts (and the involved terminology) can be found across language, psycho logy and reasoning and how this can be formally an d ontologically understood, analyzed and represent ed. We aim to address to an interdisciplinary aud ience, by inviting scholars in philosophy, compute r science, logic, conceptual modelling, knowledge representation, and cognitive science to contribut e to the discussion. This workshop is part of The Joint Ontology Workshops JOWO 2019. We welcome s ubmissions on topics related to the ontology of hy pothesized building blocks of cognition (such as i mage schemas, affordances, and related notions) an d of cognitive capacities (such as concept inventi on, language acquisition), as well as system-demon strations modelling these capacities in applicatio n settings. We also welcome submissions addressing the cognitive and epistemological adequacy of ont ological modelling. We welcome two types of submi ssions: - Regular articles (8-12 pages including the bibliography) for presenting original unpublis hed work, neither submitted to, nor accepted for, any other venue. - Short articles (6 pages includ ing the bibliography) for presenting brief descrip tions of ongoing research and projects, preliminar y approaches, position papers, or descriptions of related previously published research. The purpo se of the workshop is to bridge the gap between th e cognitive sciences and research on ontologies an d, thus, to create a venue for researchers interes ted in interdisciplinary aspects of knowledge repr esentation. More specifically CAOS addresses the d ifficult question of how key cognitive phenomena a nd concepts (and the involved terminology) can be found across language, psychology and reasoning an d how this can be formally and ontologically under stood, analyzed and represented.
\n\nWe ai m to address to an interdisciplinary audience, by inviting scholars in philosophy, computer science, logic, conceptual modelling, knowledge representa tion, and cognitive science to contribute to the d iscussion.

We welcome submissions on topics related to the ontology of hypothesized building blocks of cognition (such as image schemas, affordances, an d related notions) and of cognitive capacities (su ch as concept invention, language acquisition), as well as system-demonstrations modelling these cap acities in application settings. We also welcome s ubmissions addressing the cognitive and epistemolo gical adequacy of ontological modelling.

\n - R
egular articles (8-12 pages including the bibliogr
