As in the previous editions, each talk wi ll be commented. For a long time, logic and rea soning have been bedfellows, for better or for wor st. Boole viewed logic as nothing less than An inv estigation into the Laws of Thought, while Frege a rgued for an irrevocable split up. But even if mod ern logical literature abound with attempts at get ting closer to real-life reasoning (e.g. epistemic , fuzzy, conditional, intensional, paraconsistent, and other "non-classical" logics) the state of th eir relationship is still unclear. \n\n For a long time, logic and reasoning have been bed fellows, for better or for worst. Boole viewed log ic as nothing less than An investigation into the Laws of Thought, while Frege argued for an irrevoc able split up. But even if modern logical literatu re abound with attempts at getting closer to real- life reasoning (e.g. epistemic, fuzzy, conditional , intensional, paraconsistent, and other "non -classical" logics) the state of their relati onship is still unclear. Does logic describe reaso ning? Does it provide normative standards for reas oning? For this third PALMYR, we are looking for r esearchers from, but not only, Paris or Amsterdam interested to share their opinion on this long-sta nding relationship.\n
