This parallel evolutiona ry process has led to various groups of researcher s working on highly interrelated areas, though una ble to effectively communicate with each other due to vastly differing languages. This workshop ai ms to bring together researchers working in catego ry theory, universal algebra, logic and their appl ications to computer science in order to highlight recent advances in these fields and to facilitate dialogue between the different camps. Of particul ar interest is work which spans two or more of the se areas. Deadline for registration: 2nd Februa ry 2007 For more information, see http://usmc07.rs ise.anu.edu.au/ We solicit talks on topics relate d to the themes and spirit of the workshop. We aim to facilitate all those who wish to speak at the workshop. Submission of talks can be made by email to Alwen Tiu (Alwen.Tiu at rsise.anu.edu.au) or J on Cohen (Jonathan.Cohen at rsise.anu.edu.au).
