The 2010 edition of the Synthese Conferenc e will focus on the theme of epistemology and econ omics. Recent years have seen an increasing amount of interaction between epistemology and economics : traditional topics in epistemology, such as the analysis of knowledge, have found a significant ro le in the study of interactive decision making, wh ile traditional topics in economics, such as the a nalysis of rationality, now figure prominently int o certain areas of epistemology. The conference will feature the announcement of the first Synthes e Distinguished Paper Award, for the best paper pu blished in the journal of every other year.
