Modern mathematics open ed the doors to the wealth of the realm of the inf inities by means of the set-theoretic foundations of mathematics. Any philosophical interaction wi th concepts of infinite must have at least two asp ects: first, an inclusive examination of the vario us branches and applications, across the various p eriods; but second, it must proceed in the critica l light of mathematical results, including results from meta-mathematics. The conference History & P hilosophy of Infinity will emphasize philosophical , empirical and historical approaches.
