It involves tutorials by established researchers as w ell as short (20 minutes) presentations by PhD stu dents, master students and first-year postdocs on their research. We are happy to announce that the ninth edition of PhDs in Logic will take place at the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, during 2nd - 4th May 2017. Confirmed tutorial speakers are: Pe tr Cintula (Czech Academy of Sciences), María Manz ano (University of Salamanca), João Marcos (Federa l University of Rio Grande do Norte), Gabriella Pi gozzi (University Paris-Dauphine), Christian Straß er (Ruhr-University Bochum) and Heinrich Wansing ( Ruhr-University Bochum). PhD students, master stu dents and first-year postdocs in logic from discip lines, that include but are not limited to philoso phy, mathematics and computer science are invited to submit an extended abstract on their research. Submitted abstracts should be between 2 and 3 page s, including the relevant references. Each abstrac t will be anonymously reviewed by the scientific c ommittee.
