It i s a high-level, bi-annual conference formed by joi ning the forces and reputations of CMCS (the Inter national Workshop on Coalgebraic Methods in Comput er Science), and WADT (the Workshop on Algebraic D evelopment Techniques). CALCO 2017 will feature a Special Session on Metrics, Privacy and Learning. CALCO 2017 will run together with the CALCO Early Ideas Workshop, a workshop intended to enable pre sentation of work in progress and original researc h proposals, with dedicated sessions at the end of each conference day. Finally, the CALCO Tools Wor kshop, dedicated to tools based on algebraic and/o r coalgebraic principles, will take place on June 13. We invite submissions of technical papers tha t report results of theoretical work on the mathem atics of algebras and coalgebras, the way these re sults can support methods and techniques for softw are development, as well as experience with the tr ansfer of the resulting technologies into industri al practice. We encourage submissions in any of th e conference topics. Prospective authors are invit ed to submit full papers in English presenting ori ginal research. Submitted papers must be unpublish ed and not submitted for publication elsewhere. Ex perience papers are welcome, but they must clearly present general lessons learned that would be of interest and benefit to a broad audience of both r esearchers and practitioners..
