But this constitutes only one of the many kind s of coreference relations that were discussed in theoretical and computational linguistics in the p ast few decades. In fact, by focusing on entity co reference resolution, NLP researchers have only sc ratched the surface of the wealth of interesting p roblems in coreference resolution. This workshop s eeks to encourage work on under-investigated coref erence resolution tasks (as well as coreference re solution in under-investigated languages) and prov ide a forum for coreference researchers to discuss and present such work. The workshop welcomes submissions describing both theoretical and applie d computational work on coreference resolution, es pecially for languages other than English, less-re searched forms of coreference and new applications of coreference resolution. The submissions are ex pected to discuss theories, evaluation, limitation s, system development and techniques relevant to t he workshop topics. Papers that describe the crea tion and annotation of corpora, especially those w ith less-investigated coreference phenomena and th ose involving less-researched languages, are parti cularly welcome. In addition, the program committe e members will be asked to give special attention to submissions that echo our special theme on know ledge-rich coreference resolution. X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
Previous shared tasks on coreference resolution have largel y focused on entity coreference. In f act, by focusing on entity coreference resolution, NLP researchers have only scratched the surface o f the wealth of interesting problems in coreferenc e resolution. This workshop seeks to encourage wor k on under-investigated coreference resolution tas ks (as well as coreference resolution in under-inv estigated languages) and provide a forum for coref erence researchers to discuss and present such wor k.

The wor kshop welcomes submissions describing both theoret ical and applied computational work on coreference resolution, especially for languages other than E nglish, less-researched forms of coreference and n ew applications of coreference resolution. The sub missions are expected to discuss theories, evaluat ion, limitations, system development and technique s relevant to the workshop topics.

In addi tion, the program committee members will be asked to give special attention to submissions that echo our special theme on knowledge-rich coreference r esolution.
