Logic, a branch of Philosophy on its own, has outgrown its original purposes and f ound connections with other areas of Philosophy, s uch as Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Mathe matics, Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Mi nd. Logic has proved to be a powerful tool for ana lyzing different philosophical theories, as well a s their foundations and implications; moreover, th e birth and development of non-classical logics ha s expanded its domain of application much beyond t he dreams of its progenitors.
