Th is acknowledgement of the inherently social charac ter of information shows up at many places in mode rn logical theories. More generally, information e xchange is a form of interaction where agents act together in strategic ways. This new perspective h as led to contacts between logic and game theory, bringing a new set of disciplines into the scope o f logic: viz., economics, and the social sciences. New interfaces are arising, such as epistemic s tudies of rational behavior in games. Another inte resting development in this area is the rise of th e notion of 'social software', the idea of using c omputational techniques for analyzing patterns of social behavior. And finally, interaction is also crucial to intelligent behavior in the field of na tural language. Here pragmatics, the study of the actual use of language between different agents, h as become the primary focus of research. Notions f rom game theory, in particular evolutionary games, are being used to-day to answer all kinds of prag matic issues, for instance, how linguistic convent ions can arise. This workshop aims to bring toge ther researchers working on these and related topi cs in logic, philosophy, computer science, and rel ated areas in order to arrive at an integrated per spective on knowledge acquisition, information exc hange, and rational action. For more informatio n, see http://www.illc.uva.nl/LORI/ Researchers in these areas are invited to submit a paper to th is workshop. Submission deadline is April 15th, 20 07. Another interesting development in this area is t he rise of the notion of 'social software', the id ea of using computational techniques for analyzing patterns of social behavior. And finally, interac tion is also crucial to intelligent behavior in th e field of natural language.
