Temporary Professorship in Theoretical Philosophy (four months), Vienna (Austria)

The Faculty of Philosophy and Education of the University of Vienna announces the position of a Professor of Theoretical Philosophy (full time position under private law, October 1st, 2013 until January 31st, 2014).

Successful candidates will have an international and outstanding profile and reputation in the field of Theoretical Philosophy, and their publication output is well documented in high-ranking international journals. The candidates' research areas should emphasize at least one of the following fields: Ancient Philosophy, Medieval Philosophy, Early modern Philosophy, Epistemology, Phenomenology, Philosophy of Mind. A visiting professor is expected to give courses in the amount of 8 semester hours, aiming at all levels of the curriculum (BA, MA, PhD) in the winter semester 2013/14.
