(Associate/Full) Professorship in Logic/Statistics/Computer Science, Kobe (Japan)

The Graduate School of System Informatics of Kobe University invites applications from qualified candidates for a faculty position at the rank of either a professor or an associate professor in areas of mathematics in connections with the research fields of the Group of Logic, Statistics and Informatics. Outstanding researchers in these fields are encouraged to apply.

The candidate must have a doctoral degree in mathematics. He or she is expected to have established an outstanding independent research program and will be expected to contribute to the Graduate School's teaching program, including lectures on probability theory and statistics, as well as to the undergraduate general education program of Kobe University. The candidate must have a good knowledge of Japanese so that he or she should be (at latest after a couple of years) in a position to give lectures in Japanese and undertake diverse activities as a faculty member on the basis of Japanese language.
