This year's Düsseldorf Summer Workshop "Philosophy and Cognitive Science" will be held by Professor Wilfrid Hodges of the School of Mathematical Sciences at the Queen Mary College, University of London. Prof. Wilfrid Hodges of the School of Mathematical Sciences at the Queen Mary College, University of London, is well known for his research in the philosphy of language, logic, and mathematical algebra. His recent articles on compositionality have received wide attention. The question how to compose complex linguistic meanings as well as mental contents from primitives is pivotal for many issues not only in the philosophy of language and in linguistics, but also in other language related sciences. The workshop is organized in cooperation with the Düsseldorf Institute for Language and Information.

The seminar addresses students as well as professionals in the disciplines of philosophy, linguistics, and cognitive science. Participation in the seminar is free, registration is not required, but recommended.
