The Inter national Association for Computing and Philosophy promotes philosophical dialogue and interdisciplin ary research on all aspects of the computational a nd informational turn. Coming to these issues from a rich variety of disciplines, IACAP's members ha ve a tradition of helping to shape philosophical a nd ethical debates about the nature, development, application, and limits of computation, informatio n technologies, and artificial intelligence.
\n \nIACAP's 2019 meeting will gather philosophe rs, mathematicians, ethicists, logicians, robotici sts, computer scientists, and cognitive scientists to explore the conference topics.
\n\nThi s year the IACAP Annual Meeting will include a spe cial, one-day track on research related to computi ng and epistemic logic, with special interest in c oncurrency; computing systems where multiple seque ntial computers or microprocessors interact.
\nWe invite submissions of extende d abstracts for paper presentations. Submissions f or paper presentation should be prepared for blind review, provide an extended abstract of 800-1200 words, and provide a short abstract of 150-250 wor ds suitable for inclusion in a program. Submission deadline: February 15, 2019 (regular conference) / March 24, 2019 (special track).
\n\nWe a lso invite proposals for symposia. Proposals for s ymposia should indicate the title of the proposed symposium, a description of the topic, a list the participants, and the number of hours required. Su bmission deadline: February 1, 2019.
