DESCRIPTION:Join us for an innovative 2-day confer
 ence on the nexus between Metaphor, Linguistic Div
 ersity, and Creativity.  The conference will be st
 ructured around four themes. Each theme will be in
 troduced in a keynote lecture, and developed in a 
 plenary round-table discussion featuring selected 
 panelists. Panelists will address general question
 s as well as questions raised by the audience. Mor
 eover, two extensive Poster sessions will be dedic
 ated to present specific studies related to the fo
 ur themes.  Themes:  - Metaphor and Linguistic Div
 ersity (keynote speaker: Lera Boroditsky)  - Metap
 hor and Emotion (keynote speaker: ZoltánKövecse)  
 - Metaphor and Communication (keynote speaker: Ger
 ard Steen)  - Metaphor and Creativity (keynote spe
 aker: Rachel Giora)     We invite abstracts (max. 
 300 words) for poster presentations that are relev
 ant to one or more of the four themes of the confe
 rence. We also invite expressions of interest in p
 articipation in the panel discussions. We welcome 
 submissions from early career researchers to both 
 panels and posters.
