DESCRIPTION:The „Studentische Tagung Sprachwissens
chaft“ (StuTS) is a students conference taking pla
ce every semester in a different university in Ger
many and surrounding countries. The StuTS aims at
providing a platform for students of all disciplin
es of linguistics and related subjects to get to k
now each other and share their knowledge. The con
ference focusses on academic exchange amongst stud
ents. Participants have the possibility to conduct
a presentation or give a workshop (usually 20 to
40 minutes) by submitting an abstract, where they
can present any linguistic project they are workin
g on without the pressure of talking in front of „
experts“. Information can be found on our linked w
ebsite. We are inviting students of linguistics a
nd related disciplines from BA to PhD level to pre
sent their work at the 64th StuTS, which takes pla
ce from November 29 to December 01, 2018 in Göttin
gen. Feel free to present work from class projects
 , your bachelor’s or master’s thesis, or a project
you are working on. The topics should somehow fit
into the general topic of linguistics and languag
e research and we would appreciate a wide variety
of topics. Please hand in your abstract (max. 250
words including references) until November 11, 20
 18. The abstract should be in the language of your
talk. If you are not presenting in English or Ger
man, please provide a translation of your abstract
to one of those languages for us to evaluate your
proposal. The translation will not be published i
n the conference booklet. N.B.: As soon as you ha
nd in your abstract, you will have to register for
the conference separately. Both can be done direc
 tly from our website.
