SUMMARY:8th International Conference on Algebra an
d Coalgebra in Computer Science (CALCO 2019), Lond
 on, England
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20190603
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20190606
LOCATION:London, England
DESCRIPTION:CALCO is a high-level, bi-annual confe
rence formed by joining the forces and reputations
of CMCS (the International Workshop on Coalgebrai
c Methods in Computer Science), and WADT (the Work
shop on Algebraic Development Techniques).  It aim
s to bring together researchers and practitioners
with interests in foundational aspects, and both t
raditional and emerging uses of algebra and coalge
bra in computer science. The eighth edition will
be held in London, UK, colocated with MFPS XXXV. I
t will have three invited speakers, and a joint sp
ecial session with MFPS. It will also feature two
awards: a Best Paper Award whose recipients will b
e selected by the PC before the conference and a B
est Presentation Award, elected by the participant
 s. CALCO invites three categories of submissions:
   * Full technical papers that report   - results
of theoretical work on the mathematics of algebras
and coalgebras,     - the way these results can s
upport methods and techniques for software develop
ment, as well as   - experience with the transfer
of the resulting technologies into industrial prac
tice. * Early ideas abstracts that lead to presen
tation of work in progress and original research p
roposals. PhD students and young researchers are p
articularly encouraged to contribute. * Tool pape
rs that report on the development and use of tools
for algebraic and coalgebraic methods in computer
  science.
