SUMMARY:21st European Agent Systems Summer School
 (EASSS-2019), Bar-Ilan University, Israel
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20190708
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20190712
LOCATION:Bar-Ilan University, Israel
DESCRIPTION:This is the main annual summer school
in the area of multiagent systems, intended for bo
th PhD and MSc students. The main goal of the Eur
opean Agent Systems Summer School is to provide an
exchange of knowledge among individuals and group
s interested in various aspects of autonomous syst
ems. This dissemination is provided by formal stat
e-of-the-art courses conducted by leading experts
in the field and by informal meetings during the e
vent. A typical course is 4 hours long and provide
s a general introduction to the selected topic fol
lowed by in-depth exposition of recent and relevan
t contributions. Both the practical and theoretica
l aspects of Multi-Agent Systems are within the sc
ope of EASSS. We invite proposals from members of
the research community who are willing to offer t
utorials at EASSS 2019. We are interested in tutor
ial proposals in all areas of current research in
Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems. As a ve
ry rough guideline, any topic that might be covere
d at the AAMAS conference or in the JAAMAS journal
would be suitable for EASSS. We aim for a mix of
tutorials on fundamental and well-established topi
cs, as well as overviews of new and emerging areas
of research. Tutorials should cover an appropria
te selection of approaches and not specifically fo
cus on the tutors' own contributions. Besides prov
iding a coherent overview of a specific research t
opic, we specifically encourage tutorial proposals
to articulate a clear link to applications and pr
agmatic consideration of the fundamental topics pr
esented. We encourage both well-established senior
researchers and younger colleagues to submit prop
 osals.
