DESCRIPTION:Philosophers and logicians have studie
 d conditional constructions, of the form 'if A the
 n B', for millennia, and have made many deep point
 s about them. However, we are still far from havin
 g a full account of them and their essential relat
 ion to reasoning, to inferring B from A. More rece
 ntly, linguists, psychologists, cognitive scientis
 ts, and theorists in artificial intelligence have 
 also illuminated this study.  Our Summer School wi
 ll be truly interdisciplinary, and will be structu
 red around linguistics, philosophical logic, and p
 sychology, bringing together internationally renow
 ned experts in these fields to introduce and advan
 ce research on conditionals. We look forward to we
 lcoming everyone who wants to learn about and cont
 ribute to this research to Paris.
