DESCRIPTION:KI 2019 is the 42nd edition of the Ger
 man Conference on Artificial Intelligence organize
 d in cooperation with the AI Chapter of the German
  Society for Informatics (GI-FBKI).  KI traditiona
 lly brings together academic and industrial resear
 chers from all areas of AI, providing an ideal pla
 ce for exchanging news and research results of int
 elligent system technology. While KI is primarily 
 attended by researchers from Germany and neighbori
 ng countries, it warmly welcomes international par
 ticipation.  We invite papers, which have to be in
  English and formatted according to the Springer L
 NCS style, in the following three categories:  - F
 ull technical papers reporting on new research tha
 t makes a substantial technical contribution to th
 e field  - Technical communications reporting on r
 esearch in progress or other issues of interest to
  the AI community  - Abstracts of papers accepted 
 at (most recent editions of) major AI conferences 
  Submission deadline; May 12th, 2019.  We also inv
 ite proposals for workshops and tutorials to be he
 ld at the first day (September 23) of the conferen
 ce week. Topics include all subareas of artificial
  intelligence as well as their foundations and app
 lications. Submission deadline: March 1, 2019.  Fi
 nally, the doctoral consortium provides an opportu
 nity for PhD students to discuss their research in
 terests and career objectives with established res
 earchers in AI and network with other participants
 . Submission deadline: June 10th, 2019.
