SUMMARY:Second Workshop on INteraction-based Knowl
 edge Sharing (WINKS-2), Graz, Austria
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20190923
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20190925
LOCATION:Graz, Austria
DESCRIPTION:This Second Workshop on INteraction-ba
sed Knowledge Sharing (WINKS-2) collocated with JO
WO 2019 is aimed at researchers and practitioners
investigating issues related to aspects of (autono
mous) knowledge sharing, where the integration of
 knowledge is inherently interaction-based, irrespe
ctive of whether the interaction is machine to mac
hine, or human to machine. Gradually expanding, d
istributed systems heighten the need of dynamic in
teractive knowledge-sharing processes and ever mor
e sophisticated mechanisms are used to acquire and
elicit knowledge. A paradigm shift has emerged th
at views knowledge creation, curation and evolutio
n as a collaborative and interactive process betwe
en autonomous entities. As a highly interdisciplin
ary workshop, WINKS-2 invites submissions that add
ress the fundamental issues and challenges posed b
y interaction-based approaches to knowledge sharin
 g. At the same time, we are interested in submissi
ons that provide solutions for allowing knowledge
sharing interactively, with a particular focus on
the processes, mechanisms and protocols underlying
the proposed solution. 3 types of submissions ar
e sollicited: - Full papers: mature work describi
ng original research and its validation (10-12 pag
es including references)   - Short papers: researc
h papers describing interesting new open issues an
d challenges, and opinions on the status of the fi
eld (5-6 pages including references)   - Demonstra
tion notes: research papers describing the develop
ment of a system that is to be part of the system
demonstration session of the workshop (5-6 pages i
ncluding references). Papers should be submitted
non-anonymously in PDF format following IOS Press
formatting guidelines. All submissions should be d
ouble-blind and will receive a minimum of two peer
  reviews.
