SUMMARY:22nd International Conference on Principle
s and Practice of Multi-Agent Systems (PRIMA 2019)
 , Torino, Italy

DESCRIPTION:Software systems are becoming more int
elligent in the kind of functionality they offer u
sers. At the same time, systems are becoming more
decentralized, with components that represent auto
nomous entities who must communicate among themsel
ves to achieve their goals. Examples of such syste
ms range from healthcare and emergency relief and
disaster management to e-business and smarts grids
. A multiagent worldview is crucial to properly co
nceptualizing, building, and governing such system
 s. It offers abstractions such as intelligent agen
t, protocol, norm, organization, trust, incentive,
and so on, and is rooted in solid computational a
nd software engineering foundations. As a large bu
t still growing research field of Computer Science
, multiagent systems today remain a unique enabler
of interdisciplinary research. PRIMA 2019 invite
s submissions of original, unpublished, theoretica
l and applied work strongly relevant to multiagent
systems, including reports on the development of
prototype and deployed agent systems, and of exper
iments that demonstrate novel agent system capabil
ities. The papers can be submitted as Regular Pap
ers or Short ('early-innovation') Papers. All the
submitted papers must be in a form suitable for do
uble-blind review. We expect to publish the PRIMA
2019 proceedings in Springer's Lecture Notes in Ar
 tificial Intelligence series (LNCS/LNAI).
