The Inter national Joint Conference on Rules and Reasoning ( RuleML+RR) is the leading international joint conf erence in the field of rule-based reasoning. Stemm ing from the synergy between the well-known RuleML and RR events, one of the main goals of this conf erence is to build bridges between academia and in dustry.
\n\nRuleML+RR 2019 aims to bring t ogether rigorous researchers and inventive practit ioners, interested in the foundations and applicat ions of rules and reasoning in academia, industry, engineering, business, finance, healthcare and ot her application areas. It provides a forum for sti mulating cooperation and cross-fertilization betwe en the many different communities focused on the r esearch, development and applications of rule-base d systems. RuleML+RR 2019 is part of BRAIN 2019, t he Bolzano Rules and Artificial Intelligence Summi t.
\nHigh-quality papers rela ted to theoretical advances, novel technologies, a nd innovative applications concerning knowledge re presentation and reasoning with rules are solicite d. Particularly encouraged are submissions that co mbine one or more of the conference topics with th e overall focus theme on "Beneficial AI" of the BRAIN 2019 Summit.
\n\nWe accept l ong papers (presenting original and significant re search and/or development results) and short paper s (consisely describing general results or specifi c applications, systems, or position statements). Submitted papers must not substantially overlap wi th papers that have been published or that are sim ultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference /workshop with formal proceedings.
\n\nIn addition to regular submissions, RuleML+RR 2019 wi ll host an Industry Track together with the Decisi onCAMP 2019, the 13th International Rule Challenge , and a joint Doctoral Consortium with the Global Conference on Artificial Intelligence (GCAI 2019).
