SUMMARY:Workshop: Assertion and Proof (WAP 2019),
 Lecce, Italy
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20190912
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20190914
LOCATION:Lecce, Italy
DESCRIPTION:The notion of assertion plays a key in
ferential role and has a long tradition in logic.
It is a key ingredient in most logical systems, ei
ther implicitly or explicitly. The idea of asserti
on thus appears strongly invariant across a range
of logical theories, logical methods, and logical
notations. The aim of the workshop is to bring to
gether scholars interested in the analysis of the
logical notion of assertion and other related noti
ons such as inference, proof, argument, meaning of
logical constants that may receive an assertion-b
ased interpretation. A satellite event to WAP 201
9 is the workshop "Peirce on Assertion". Please s
end an abstract of no more than 500 words by email
. In the body of the email in which you submit the
abstract, please include author name(s), the titl
e of the talk and your affiliation. Include the ab
stract in a separate document (PDF) attached in th
e email with no identifying information in the doc
 ument.
