SUMMARY:5th Global Conference on Artificial Intell
 igence (GCAI 2019), Bolzano, Italy
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20190917
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20190919
LOCATION:Bolzano, Italy
DESCRIPTION:he core objective of GCAI 2019 is to b
ring together the two main souls of AI, namely sym
bolic reasoning and machine/deep learning, applied
to both software and robotic systems.  GCAI 2019
will be held as part of the Bolzano Rules and Arti
ficial INtelligence Summit (BRAIN 2019). GCAI 201
9 accepts submissions of two types: Full paper sub
missions, which must be original and cannot be sub
mitted simultaneously elsewhere, and Extended abst
ract submissions, which report on ongoing or preli
minary work, or on work that is central to symboli
 c reasoning and/or machine/deep learning applied t
o both software and robotic systems, but that has
already been submitted or recently published elsew
here as a full paper. Submissions in all areas of
artificial intelligence are welcome. With a speci
al focus theme on "beneficial AI", BRAIN 2019 aims
at presenting the latest advancements in AI and r
ules and their adoption in IT systems towards impr
oving key fields such as environment, health and s
ocieties. Submissions that address this theme with
in the general topics of GCAI are especially welco
 me.
