SLSP is a yearly conference series aimed at promoting and d isplaying excellent research on the wide spectrum of statistical methods that are currently in use i n computational language or speech processing. It aims at attracting contributions from both fields. Though there exist large conferences and workshop s hosting contributions to any of these areas, SLS P is a more focused meeting where synergies betwee n the two domains will hopefully happen. In SLSP 2 019, significant room will be reserved to young sc holars at the beginning of their career and partic ular focus will be put on methodology.
\n\nSLSP 2019 will consist of invited talks, peer-rev iewed contributions and posters.
\nThe conference invites submissions discussin g the employment of statistical models (including machine learning) within language and speech proce ssing. Authors are invited to submit non-anonymize d papers in English presenting original and unpubl ished research. Papers should not exceed 12 single -spaced pages (all included) and should be prepare d according to the standard format for Springer Ve rlag's LNCS series.
