The Socie ty for Philosophy of Science in Practice (SPSP) is an interdisciplinary community of scholars who ap proach the philosophy of science with a focus on s cientific practice and the practical uses of scien tific knowledge. The SPSP conferences provide a br oad forum for scholars committed to making detaile d and systematic studies of scientific practices - neither dismissing concerns about truth and ratio nality, nor ignoring contextual and pragmatic fact ors. The conferences aim at cutting through tradit ional disciplinary barriers and developing novel a pproaches.

\nWe welcome contri butions from not only philosophers of science, but also philosophers working in epistemology and eth ics, as well as the philosophy of engineering, tec hnology, medicine, agriculture, and other practica l fields. Additionally, we welcome contributions f rom historians and sociologists of science, pure a nd applied scientists, and any others with an inte rest in philosophical questions regarding scientif ic practice. SPSP welcomes both proposals for indi vidual papers, and also strongly encourage proposa ls for whole, thematic sessions with coordinated p apers, particularly those which include multiple d isciplinary perspectives and/or input from scienti fic practitioners.
