SUMMARY:17th International Conference on Quantum P
hysics and Logic (QPL 2020), Online
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20200601
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20200605
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:The conference brings together researc
hers working on the mathematical foundations of qu
antum physics, quantum computing, and related area
s, with a focus on structural perspectives and the
use of logical tools, category-theoretic structur
es, formal languages, semantic methods, and other
computer science techniques applied to the study o
f physical behaviour in general. Work that applies
structures and methods inspired by quantum theory
to other fields (including computer science) is a
lso welcome. QPL 2020 will be co-located with the
36th Conference on the Mathematical Foundations o
f Programming Semantics (MFPS 2020). Prospective
speakers are invited to submit original contributi
ons   Submission of substantial albeit partial res
ults of work in progress is encouraged. Extended a
 bstracts describing work submitted/published elsew
here will also be considered, provided the work is
recent and relevant to the conference. There will
be an award for the best student paper at the dis
 cretion of the programme committee.
