SUMMARY:Spatial Cognition 2020/1 (SC 2020/1), Onli
 ne (Zoom)
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20210801
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20210804
LOCATION:Online (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:Spatial Cognition is concerned with th
 e acquisition, development, representation, organi
zation, and use of knowledge about spatial objects
in real, virtual or hybrid environments and proce
ssed by human or artificial agents. Spatial Cognit
ion includes research from different fields insofa
r as they are concerned with cognitive agents and
space. Research issues in the field range from the
investigation of human spatial cognition to mobil
e robot navigation. SC 2020 will bring together re
searchers working on spatial cognition from all of
these perspectives. The conference is single-tra
ck, and the final program will be the result of a
selective review process. The program will include
oral and poster presentations of refereed papers,
and keynote talks by Sara I. Fabrikant, Steve Fra
nconeri and Laure Rondi-Reig. The initial confere
nce was scheduled August 2020 to be held in Riga,
Latvia; this is the postponed version of it.The pa
rticipants will receive the details and updates ab
out Zoom events by email when the registration clo
ses on July 25, 2021. Submissions for Oral Presen
tations (short papers) presenting original and unp
ublished work are solicited in all areas of spatia
l cognition. Short papers should not exceed 1,200
words (including figures, tables, and references).
Some short paper submissions may be accepted for
poster presentation. Submissions for Poster Prese
ntations (abstracts) are solicited in all areas of
spatial cognition. Poster abstracts should not ex
ceed 500 words (including figures, tables, and ref
 erences).
