SUMMARY:25th International Conference on Conceptua
 l Structures (ICCS 2020), Virtual
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20200918
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20200921
LOCATION:Virtual
DESCRIPTION:The International Conferences on Conce
ptual Structures (ICCS) focus on the formal analys
is and representation of conceptual knowledge, at
the crossroads of artificial intelligence, human c
ognition, computational linguistics, and related a
reas of computer science and cognitive science. Th
e ICCS conferences evolved from a series of seven
annual workshops on conceptual graphs, starting wi
th an informal gathering hosted by John F. Sowa in
  1986. Recently, graph-based knowledge representat
ion and reasoning (KRR) paradigms are getting more
and more attention. With the rise of quasi-autono
mous AI, graph-based representations provide a veh
icle for making machine cognition explicit to its
human users. This year ICCS 2020 is a part of 'Bol
zano Summer of Knowledge' which will take place in
Bolzano, Italy during the month of September, 202
 0. In view of the present circumstances around th
e COVID-19 epidemic, the ICSS conference will happ
en as an online event. Submissions are invited on
  significant, original, and previously unpublished
research on the formal analysis and representatio
n of conceptual knowledge in artificial intelligen
ce (AI). We invite scientific papers of up to four
teen pages, short contributions up to eight pages
and extended poster abstracts of up to three pages
. All papers will receive mindful and rigorous rev
iews that will provide authors with useful critica
l feedback. The aim of the ICCS 2020 conference i
s to build upon its long-standing expertise in gra
ph-based KRR and focus on providing modelling, for
mal and application results of graph-based systems
. The conference welcomes contributions that addre
ss graph-based representation and reasoning paradi
gms (e.g. Bayesian Networks (BNs), Semantic Networ
ks (SNs), RDF(S), Conceptual Graphs (CGs), Formal
 Concept Analysis (FCA), CP-Nets, GAI-Nets, Graph D
atabases, Diagrams, Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Web
, etc.) from a modelling, theoretical and applicat
 ion viewpoint.
