The Inter national Conferences on Conceptual Structures (ICC S) focus on the formal analysis and representation of conceptual knowledge, at the crossroads of art ificial intelligence, human cognition, computation al linguistics, and related areas of computer scie nce and cognitive science. The ICCS conferences ev olved from a series of seven annual workshops on c onceptual graphs, starting with an informal gather ing hosted by John F. Sowa in 1986. Recently, grap h-based knowledge representation and reasoning (KR R) paradigms are getting more and more attention. With the rise of quasi-autonomous AI, graph-based representations provide a vehicle for making machi ne cognition explicit to its human users. This yea r ICCS 2020 is a part of 'Bolzano Summer of Knowledge' which will take place in Bolzano, Italy during the month of September, 2020 .
\n\nIn view of the present circumstances around the COVID-19 epidemic, the ICSS conference will happen as an online event.
\nSubmissions are invited on significant, orig inal, and previously unpublished research on the f ormal analysis and representation of conceptual kn owledge in artificial intelligence (AI). We invite scientific papers of up to fourteen pages, short contributions up to eight pages and extended poste r abstracts of up to three pages. All papers will receive mindful and rigorous reviews that will pro vide authors with useful critical feedback.
\n\ nThe aim of the ICCS 2020 conference is to bu ild upon its long-standing expertise in graph-base d KRR and focus on providing modelling, formal and application results of graph-based systems. The c onference welcomes contributions that address grap h-based representation and reasoning paradigms (e. g. Bayesian Networks (BNs), Semantic Networks (SNs ), RDF(S), Conceptual Graphs (CGs), Formal Concept Analysis (FCA), CP-Nets, GAI-Nets, Graph Database s, Diagrams, Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Web, etc.) from a modelling, theoretical and application vie wpoint.
