LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:We invite participation in the XXIII I
nternational Summer School in Philosophy of Physic
s to be held in Urbino 15th-18th June 2020. The to
pic of the school is 'Philosophy of Quantum Comput
ation' and it will feature lectures given by Micha
el Cuffaro (Munich Center for Mathematical Philoso
phy) and Roberto Giuntini (University of Cagliari)
, with afternoon seminars given by David Vitali (U
niversity of Macerata), Gustavo Martin Bosyk (Univ
ersity of Cagliari), and Rossella Lupacchini (Univ
ersity of Bologna). The School will host a limited
number of students, graduate students and early r
esearchers depending on a successful application.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, it will be
impossible to host the XXIII International Summer
School in Philosophy of Physics in Urbino. For thi
s reason, we have decided to move the school onlin
e and make it free of charge. We wish to offer th
ree young researchers in Philosophy of Quantum Com
putation the opportunity to test their skills by p
resenting their original papers to the other parti
cipants of the School. Three sessions of the Schoo
l will be devoted to these presentations: interest
ed graduate students, postgraduates and early rese
archers are invited to submit an abstract (no long
er than 1000 words) suitable for blind review.
