SUMMARY:Workshop on Logics of Dependence and Indep
 endence (LoDE 2020), Online
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20200810
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20200812
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:Logics of dependence and independence
are novel non-classical logics aiming at character
izing dependence and independence notions in scien
ces. This field of research has grown rapidly in r
ecent years. The framework of the logics has found
applications also in fields like database theory,
linguistics, social choice, quantum physics and s
o on. This workshop will bring together researcher
s from all these relevant areas and provide a snap
shot of the state of the art of logics of dependen
ce and independence. We invite submissions of 5-p
age extended abstracts of contributed talks. Abstr
acts must be submitted electronically through Easy
Chair. Selected papers of the workshop proceedings
will be published (after a new round of reviewing
) as a special issue of a scientific journal (to b
 e confirmed).
