 his Masterclass in proof theory (MCPT) is primaril
 y aimed at graduate students and early career rese
 archers in mathematics, philosophy, and computer s
 cience with an interest in foundational questions 
 in mathematics. The four-day event consists of int
 roductory classes on proof theory by Michael Rathj
 en (Leeds) on 'Proof Theory: From Arithmetic to Se
 t Theory' and Peter Schuster (Verona) on 'The fini
 te content of transfinite methods'. These will be 
 enriched through advanced evening lectures by othe
 r senior researchers, incl. Norbert Gratzl (MCMP, 
 LMU Munich) and Helmut Schwichtenberg (LMU Munich)
 . The event will take place on the premises of the
  Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation, right next
  to Munich's picturesque Nymphenburg Palace and Ga
 rdens.  Graduate students in mathematics can apply
  for participation scholarships of E150 funded by 
 the German Mathematical Association (DMV).
