DESCRIPTION:From June 12th to 30th, 2006, the Mast
 er Cognitive Science (at the Universiteit van Amst
 erdam) will organize her fourth Summerschool.   Th
 e CSCA Summerschool concentrates on the work of Fr
 ijda Honorary Chair in Cognitive Science, occupied
  this academic year by professor Annette Karmiloff
 -Smith (Neurocognitive Development Unit, Universit
 y College London). Dr. Karmilloff-Smith has provid
 ed an immense contribution to the field of develop
 mental cognitive neuroscience. During the three-we
 ek Summerschool, international experts from the fi
 elds of psychology, psychiatry, biology, genetics,
  neuroscience, and computational modeling will pre
 sent lectures on advances in research on developme
 ntal cognitive disorders. In addition, the Summers
 chool will comprise hands-on workshops led by seni
 or researchers from the participating fields. The 
 finale of the Summerschool will be a one-day Sympo
 sium at June 30, 2006. At the Symposium, experts f
 rom international standing will cover the themes o
 f the Summerschool.  Master students from relevant
