SUMMARY:8th International Workshop on Strategic Re
asoning (SR 2020), Santiago de Compostela, Spain
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20200829
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20200608
LOCATION:Santiago de Compostela, Spain
DESCRIPTION:Strategic reasoning is a key topic in
multi-agent systems research. The extensive litera
ture in the field includes a variety of logics use
d for modeling strategic ability. Results from the
field are now being used in many exciting domains
such as information system security, adaptive str
ategies for robot teams, and automatic players cap
able to outperform human experts. A common feature
in all these application domains is the requireme
nt for sound theoretical foundations and tools acc
ounting for the strategies that artificial agents
may adopt in the situation of conflict and coopera
tion. The SR international workshop series aims a
t bringing together researchers working on differe
nt aspects of strategic reasoning in computer scie
nce, both from a theoretical and a practical point
of view. SR 2020 will be held with ECAI 2020 in S
antiago de Compostela, Spain. We invite three typ
es of submissions: original contributions,  publis
hed work, and challenging open problems. Each subm
ission should be clearly identified as belonging t
o one of these three categories. In all three cate
gories, submissions will be evaluated by the usual
high standards of research publications. Strong
preference will be given to contributions on topic
s of interest to a broad, interdisciplinary audien
ce and all papers should be written so that they a
re accessible to such an audience.
