SUMMARY:18th International Workshop on Nonmonotoni
 c Reasoning (NMR 2020), Virtual
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20200912
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20200914
LOCATION:Virtual
DESCRIPTION:NMR is the premier forum for results i
n the area of nonmonotonic reasoning. Its aim is t
o bring together active researchers in this broad
field within knowledge representation and reasonin
g (KRR), including belief revision, uncertain reas
oning, reasoning about actions, planning, logic pr
 ogramming, preferences, argumentation, causality,
and many other related topics including systems an
d applications. As in previous editions, NMR 2020
aims to foster connections between the different
subareas of nonmonotonic reasoning and provide a f
orum for emerging topics. Workshop activities will
include invited talks and presentations of techni
cal papers. NMR 2020 is co-located with the Intern
ational Conference on Principles of Knowledge Repr
esentation and Reasoning (KR 2020) and the 33rd In
ternational Workshop on Description Logics (DL 202
0). In particular, NMR 2020 will share a joint ses
sion with DL 2020. Due to the latest developments
in Greece with the COVID19 pandemic, the hybrid f
ormat (physical and virtual participation) that wa
s planned for NMR 2020 in September is likely to b
e canceled. The new format, and possibly new dates
, for NMR2020 will be announced shortly. We espec
ially invite papers on systems and applications, a
s well as position papers and papers addressing be
nchmark issues. The workshop will be structured by
topical sessions fitting to the scopes of accepte
d papers. Papers should be at most 10 pages in AAA
I style including references, figures, and appendi
ces, if any.Papers already published or accepted f
or publication at other conferences are also welco
me, provided that the original publication is ment
ioned in a footnote on the first page.
