DESCRIPTION:The international workshop on the Univ
 ersal Urysohn Metric Space will take place at Ben-
 Gurion University (Beer Sheva, Israel) from 21-24 
 May, 2006. The Urysohn space U is the universal co
 mplete metric separable space. This remarkable mat
 hematical object, introduced by P. Urysohn 80 year
 s ago, has generated a considerable and steadily g
 rowing interest over the past two decades. The pur
 pose of the workshop is to bring together leading 
 mathematicians working in the fields of Topologica
 l Groups, Functional Analysis, Geometry, Represent
 ation Theory, Dynamics, Logic and Set Theory in or
 der to exchange ideas and present results of curre
