SUMMARY:Sixteenth European Conference on Symbolic
and Quantitative Approaches to Reasoning with Unce
rtainty (ECSQARU 2021), Prague, Czech Republic (Hy
 brid)
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20210921

LOCATION:Prague, Czech Republic (Hybrid)
DESCRIPTION:The biennial ECSQARU conferences const
itute a major forum for advances in the theory and
practice of reasoning under uncertainty, with a f
ocus on bringing symbolic and quantitative aspects
together. Contributions come from researchers int
erested in advancing the scientific knowledge and
from practitioners using uncertainty techniques in
real-world applications. The scope of the ECSQARU
  conferences encompasses fundamental issues, appli
 cations, representation, inference, learning, and
decision making in qualitative and numeric uncerta
inty paradigms. For ECSQARU 2021 we invite submis
sions of original papers on the conference topics.
Authors are requested to prepare their conference
papers in the LNCS/LNAI format. Submitted papers
must be at most 12 pages, original and not under r
eview in a journal or another venue with formally
published proceedings. They will be evaluated by p
eer reviews based on originality, significance, te
chnical soundness, and clarity of exposition. Auth
ors of accepted papers are expected to attend the
conference to present their work: at least one aut
hor of each paper must register for the conference
. In accordance with the previous conferences, th
e proceedings of ECSQARU 2021 will be published in
the Springer Lecture Notes in Artificial Intellig
ence series. In addition to that, extended version
s of selected papers will be published in a specia
l issue of the International Journal of Approximat
 e Reasoning.
