The bienn ial ECSQARU conferences constitute a major forum f or advances in the theory and practice of reasonin g under uncertainty, with a focus on bringing symb olic and quantitative aspects together. Contributi ons come from researchers interested in advancing the scientific knowledge and from practitioners us ing uncertainty techniques in real-world applicati ons. The scope of the ECSQARU conferences encompas ses fundamental issues, applications, representati on, inference, learning, and decision making in qu alitative and numeric uncertainty paradigms.
\nFor ECSQARU 2021 we invite submi ssions of original papers on the conference topics . Authors are requested to prepare their conferenc e papers in the LNCS/LNAI format. Submitted papers must be at most 12 pages, original and not under review in a journal or another venue with formally published proceedings. They will be evaluated by peer reviews based on originality, significance, t echnical soundness, and clarity of exposition. Aut hors of accepted papers are expected to attend the conference to present their work: at least one au thor of each paper must register for the conferenc e.
\n\nIn accordance with the previous con ferences, the proceedings of ECSQARU 2021 will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Artific ial Intelligence series. In addition to that, exte nded versions of selected papers will be published in a special issue of the International Journal o f Approximate Reasoning.
