DESCRIPTION:"Concepts in Action: Representation, L
 earning, and Application" (CARLA) is an internatio
 nal workshop aimed at fostering interdisciplinary 
 exchange about research on concepts. The workshop 
 is open for research on any aspect of concepts, bu
 t there are three overarching topics that are of s
 pecial interest with the following (not exhaustive
 ) list of exemplary subtopics:   - Representation:
  How can we formally describe and model concepts? 
   - Learning: Where do concepts come from and how 
 are they acquired?   - Application: How are concep
 ts used in cognitive tasks?  This workshop provide
 s an excellent opportunity to present and discuss 
 ongoing research on concepts, both from theoretica
 l/formal and applied/experimental viewpoints. CARL
 A 2021 is currently planned to be conducted as a *
 hybrid* event allowing for both physical and virtu
 al attendance. Invited Speakers: Monique Flecken a
 nd Antonio Lieto.  We invite concept researchers f
 rom all fields related to cognitive science to sub
 mit abstracts to the workshop. We invite contribut
 ions from all fields related to cognitive science,
  including (but not limited to) linguistics, artif
 icial intelligence, psychology, philosophy, logic,
  and computer science. The abstracts should use tw
 o to three pages (including references) and should
  be uploaded as pdf based on a template downloadab
 le from the conference website.
