DESCRIPTION:"Let's Talk Models!" is the kick-off w
 orkshop for the NWO VIDI project ENCODE: Explicati
 ng Norms of Collective Deliberation. As part of th
 is project, we will organize workshops on a regula
 r basis at the EIPE/ESPhil (Erasmus University of 
 Rotterdam).  The theme of this edition is Formal M
 odels of Deliberative Norms. In particular, a rang
 e of different models (logical, agent-based, game-
 theoretic and/or argument-based) of group delibera
 tion and its norms will be presented and discussed
 . The ultimate aim is to understand how these mode
 ls shed light on trade-offs and tensions among suc
 h norms, and on different recipes for checking and
  monitoring their satisfaction.  The conference ta
 kes place online via Zoom. Confirmed speakers are 
 Hun Chung (Waseda University), Erica Yu (Erasmus U
 niversity of Rotterdam), Olivier Roy (University o
 f Bayreuth) and Soroush Rafiee Rad (University of 
 Bayreuth & University of Amsterdam), and Nina Gier
