SUMMARY:Doing It Together - International Workshop
  on Collective Intentionality, Groningen
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20060630
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20060630
LOCATION:Groningen
DESCRIPTION:The workshop is organized on the occas
ion of Michael Bratman's visit to the Netherlands
and is intended at bringing together Dutch scienti
sts from different fields to exchange ideas on Bra
tman's theory of collective agency. This should al
low for a deeper understanding of the theory itsel
f, but also for evaluating its relevance in more a
pplied settings such as mechanism design or legal
responsibility assessment. In addition, we expect
that this will foster networking between the numer
ous Dutch research groups that are currently worki
ng on some aspects of collective agency, more ofte
n than not in parallel. Speakers include Michae
l Bratman (Stanford), John A. Michon (Leiden), Fra
ns Groen (UvA), Frank Hindriks (Groningen) and Bou
dewijn de Bruin (Groningen). Those who want to
attend the workshop can now register online! Regis
tration is free and open to everyone. For more inf
 ormation, see http://staff.science.uva.nl/~oroy/Do
 ing_it_together/.
