SUMMARY:9th International Conference on Algebra an
d Coalgebra in Computer Science (CALCO 2021), Virt
 ual and/or Salzburg (Austria)
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20210831
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20210903
LOCATION:Virtual and/or Salzburg (Austria)
DESCRIPTION:CALCO is a high-level, bi-annual confe
rence formed by joining the forces and reputations
of CMCS (the International Workshop on Coalgebrai
c Methods in Computer Science) and WADT (the Works
hop on Algebraic Development Techniques). It aims
to bring together researchers with interests in bo
th foundational and applicative uses of algebra an
d coalgebra in computer science, traditional as we
ll as emerging ones. The 9th edition will be held
in Salzburg, Austria, colocated with MFPS XXXVII.
Prospective authors are invited to submit full pa
pers in English presenting original research. Subm
itted papers must be unpublished and not submitted
for publication elsewhere. CALCO invites papers r
elating to all aspects of algebraic and coalgebrai
c theory and applications, and distinguishes betwe
en four categories of submissions. 1. Regular pap
ers that report * results on theoretical foundatio
ns * novel methods and techniques for software dev
elopment * experiences with the technology transfe
r to industry. 2. (Co)Algebraic Pearls papers tha
t * present possibly known material in a novel and
enlightening way. 3. Early ideas abstracts that
lead to * presentations of work in progress * prop
osals for original venues of research. 4. Tool pr
esentation papers that * report on the features an
 d uses of algebraic/coalgebra-based tools.
