DESCRIPTION:As Gödel scholars are now becoming inc
 reasingly familiar not only with the texts in the 
 Collected Works but also with the still unpublishe
 d ones in the Archive, we see changes in our under
 standing of Gödel's work: his results in logic, th
 e development of which has now begun to be traced 
 in much more detail, but also his philosophical re
 flections, the full importance of which is becomin
 g ever clearer. The aim of this workshop will be t
 o discuss Gödel's writings and to present and comp
 are different perspectives on the philosophy and c
 areer of this logician. We will study his writings
  in order better to understand his intellectual de
 velopment, his own reflections on his logical theo
 rems, and, finally, the concomittant metaphysics t
 hat he hoped to develop.   The official languages
