SUMMARY:ICAART Special Session on "Natural Languag
e Processing in Artificial Intelligence" (NLPinAI
 2022), Online
DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Amsterdam:20220204T000000
DTEND;TZID=Europe/Amsterdam:20220206T235900
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:Computational and technological develo
pments that incorporate natural language are proli
ferating. Adequate coverage encounters difficult p
 roblems related to partiality, underspecification,
and context-dependency, which are signature featu
res of information in nature and natural languages
. Furthermore, agents (humans or computational sys
tems) are information conveyors, interpreters, or
participate as components of informational content
. Generally, language processing depends on agents
' knowledge, reasoning, perspectives, and interact
ions. The session covers theoretical work, applic
ations, approaches, and techniques for computation
al models of information and its presentation by l
anguage (artificial, human, or natural in other wa
ys). The goal is to promote computational systems
of intelligent natural language processing and rel
ated models of thought, mental states, reasoning,
and other cognitive processes. Prospective author
s are invited to submit papers in any of the confe
rence topics. Guidelines and instructions for prep
aring the manuscript (in Word and Latex formats) a
re available at the confernce website.Papers must
be submitted electronically via the web-based subm
ission system. All accepted papers will be publis
hed in a special section of the conference proceed
ings book - under an ISBN reference and on digital
support and be made available at the SCITEPRESS D
igital Library. We expect a Special Issue with ext
ended publications based on selected papers presen
ted at NLPinAI 2022 at ICAART 2022.
