The FoIKS symposia provide a biennial forum for presenting and discussing theoretical and applied research on information and knowledge systems. The goal is to bring together researchers with an interest in th is subject, share research experiences, promote co llaboration, and identify new issues and direction s for future research.

\n\nThe FoIKS sympo sia are a forum for intensive discussions. Speaker s will be given sufficient time to present their i deas and results within the larger context of thei r research. Furthermore, participants will be aske d to prepare a first response to another contribut ion in order to initiate discussion.

\nFoIKS 2022 solicits original contributio ns (as well as extensions of previously published contributions) dealing with any foundational aspec t of information and knowledge systems. This inclu des submissions that apply ideas, theories or meth ods from specific disciplines to information and k nowledge systems. Examples of such disciplines are discrete mathematics, logic and algebra, model th eory, information theory, complexity theory, algor ithmics and computation, statistics, and optimisat ion, among, of course, many others.

\n\nFo r long papers, the suggested number of pages is 16 , and the maximum number of pages is 18. For short papers, the maximum number of pages is 10. All pa pers must be original and not simultaneously submi tted to another journal or conference.
