SUMMARY:2nd Workshop on Machine Ethics and Explain
 ability-The Role of Logic Programming (MEandE-LP 2
 022), Haifa, Israel (Virtual)
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20220731
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20220731
LOCATION:Haifa, Israel (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:This workshop aims to bring together r
esearchers working in all aspects of machine ethic
s and explainability, including theoretical work,
system implementations, and applications. The co-l
ocation of this workshop with ICLP is intended als
o to encourage more collaboration with researchers
from different fields of logic programming. This w
orkshop provides a forum to facilitate discussions
regarding these topics and a productive exchange
of ideas. Topics of interest include (but not lim
ited to):   - New approaches to programming machin
e ethics;   - New approaches to explainability of
blackbox models;   - Evaluation and comparison of
existing approaches;   - Approaches to verificatio
n of ethical behavior;   - Logic programming appli
cations in machine ethics;   - Integrating logic p
rograming with methods for machine ethics;   - Int
egrating logic programing with methods for explain
ability. The workshop invites two types of submis
sions: - original papers describing original rese
arch - non-original paper already published on fo
rmal proceedings or journals. Original papers mus
t be formatted using the Springer LNCS style. Regu
lar papers must not exceed 14 pages (including ref
 erences).
