  philosophy, computer science, linguistics, concep

 ticipate in a series of workshops and tutorials re
 lated to ontology. The event is The Joint Ontology
  Workshops (JOWO), an interdisciplinary umbrella c
 onference centred on research in and application o
 f ontologies. Biyearly, JOWO is co-located with FO
 IS, but being a large enough event on its own, eve
 ry other year, JOWO is a freestanding event.  Due 
 to its unique format, JOWO offers an inspiring pla
 tform in which participants can engage with new kn
 owledge in tutorials, present their own innovative
  findings in workshops, explore new research colla
 borations from nearby disciplines and network with
  researchers and practitioners at the event's soci
 al program.
